LHP is proud to announce our project for 2013. If you live in or near Chesterton – Indiana, you must be familiar with the French Sisters from the Fraternite Notre Dame. For several years these Sisters come to the European Market every Saturday to sell their baked goods and raise funds for their charity, in the Austin neighborhood in Chicago, IL. Their charitable works include a daily soup kitchen, which serves an average of 250 nutritious meals/day; a weekly food pantry program that provides fresh produce and canned food to 300 families and an after school program for children who hang out in the streets of that neighborhood. The FND receives donations from local supermarkets and restaurants and really needs to expand their storage capacity for frozen food. Loving House Project has committed to raising $5,000 USD to buy the much needed freezers that will allow appropriate storage for the donations received. We are honored to help such cause and we count on your support to make it happen!
