In 2016 Loving House Project is proud to support, once again, El Hogar San Francisco de Asis, home for the destitute children, in Chaclacaio, Peru. LHP was happy to raise funds to help Dr. Tony Lazzara and his staff back in 2011 when we remodeled the kitchen, a bathroom and painted the entire building, inside and out. This year, Dr. Tony needs our assistance with some important projects:

The most urgent project is to place linoleum in all the rooms of the home. Some of the rooms have old linoleum of poor quality and others have parquet floor which is very difficult to maintain clean if food or milk is spilled. The execution of this project will require time and good planning since they currently have 9 infants and have no other areas to care for them, and with 40 children in the home it will be difficult to restrict their activities in that space while the linoleum is being placed. The estimated cost for this project is $3,200US.
The second project is to repaint the home, the outside paint is peeling off and some of the rooms also need painting, it has been 5 years since it was last painted. A third project would be to modify the pharmacy ventilation. During the summer the temperature in the pharmacy is high and could result in degradation of the medications. We estimate $2,500US for these projects.

Our goal is to raise $5,700US to fund the so needed remodeling at El Hogar and guarantee that the children live in a safe and clean environment.
