October 2010 - Loving House No. 15 - Family Van Thi Mai: Thuan is a 15 year old girl that lives in a hut, by her grandma’s house, and takes care of her brothers Trong (12y.o.) and Tai (9y.o.). These children were abandoned by their parents and are pretty much on their own. Joe met Thuan last year and gave her a bike for Christmas, once he heard that she had to walk 5km/day to go to school. We are so very happy that we will be able to build a Loving House for these children. We learned that the only food they have available is rice. Our friend Mrs. Thuy will help care for their nutritional needs, bringing them some healthy food every month.
The construction of Loving House No. 15 starts on 10/22/2010.

December 11, 2010: Thuan and her sibblings have a comfortable place to call home. They have a bed and indoor bathroom, for the first time in their lives. Our hearts are filled with joy for having the chance to bring some happinnes to these three children. LHP would like to thank Les, Richard and Bernadette for funding this home.
