Mr. and Mrs. Nhanh, live in Tien Giang Province with two children at home. Their jobs are as farm labors and both Mr. and Mrs. Nhanh are seriously ill. The home they lived in was in danger of collapsing.

Mr. and Mrs. Nhan’s Loving House started being built on November 7th and was completed on December 2nd, 2008 at a cost of $2,887 USD.

November 12, 2008 - The building material is all delivered by boat in Mr. and Mrs. Nhanh’s house. That might have an impact on how fast the house will be built.

November 17, 2008 - The Nhanh’s house had the columns go up today, as you can see in the photos it is all done by hand. It is amazing to watch how fast it happens, Mrs. Nhanh’s walls will be up by the end of this week.

November 21, 2008 - Visited the Nhan’s house today, the walls are being finished and the roof will go up tomorrow. The bench and stove were also delivered, these will be moved to the construction site in a small boat. The workers got me to try a little fishing. While I caught 1 little fish, Mr. Bach, my translator, caught 20 of same size. Mrs. Nhan was very happy and planned to have those for dinner.

November 26, 2008 - Mrs. Nhanh’s house is right on scheduled for a finish date of 2 December.

November 28, 2008 - Today we bought a cow. The families that we are building houses for will receive $25 a month for a year to help them get on their feet but Mrs. Nhanh asked if she could use that money to buy a cow, they will sell the calves and have a really nice income from it.

December 2, 2008 - A small ceremony was held today to give the Deed of the new house to Mr. and Mrs. Nhanh. The family was very grateful and wished that we convey their thanks to all the people that made it possible.

May 16, 2009 - Today we visited the Nhanh family and were very glad to hear that their cow, donated by LHP, is pregnant. Mr. Nhanh got a job and is making $3.00 USD/day, this money is really helping the family. Mr. and Mrs. Nhanh look a lot healthier, living in their Loving House!
