Our third house will incorporate some changes to optimize the use of space and reduce costs.

Ms. Loan thi Do, born in 1967, and her 15 years old son, who suffers from a severe brain disorder, live in Trung Hoa Town, Cho Gao county, Tien Giang Province. Abandoned by her husband Ms. Loan has to work as a servant and take care of her ill son.

They lived with her parents and her siblings in a very small house.

Ms. Loan’s Loving House started being built on November 7th and was completed on December 1st, 2008 at a cost of $2,661 USD.

November 15, 2008 - The construction is going well. Ms. Loan’s house is the one being built the fastest due the fact that supplies can be delivered by truck.

November 17, 2008 - The walls are up in Ms. Loan’s house. They are starting to work on the roof now.

November 20, 2008 - The roof is on at Ms. Loan’s house. I am really happy because now, if it rains, there’s plenty of work to do inside. Ms. Loan could not be happier and it’s really a joy to see her smile.

November 25, 2008 - Ms. Loan’s house is in it’s final stages. Painting, floors, windows and doors are all being worked on. The house is blue with brown trim, very lovely. Ms. Loan is happy happy happy, she will move in on Monday the 1st.

December 1, 2008 - A small ceremony was held today to give Ms. Loan the Deed of her house. Ms. Loan was the happiest woman in the world today!

May 16, 2009 - Today we visited Ms. Loan and her son. Ms. Loan now works pealing cashew nuts, which she can do at home while taking care of her son. She was very happy to see us and never stopped thanking Loving House Project for giving her a home.
